We are seeking a Destination Manager based in Belgium to assist with event booking and supplier relations for our groups in France and Belgium.

The job

As Destination Manager, your responsibilities will include maintaining supplier relations, checking availability with activity providers, confirming bookings, sending vouchers to clients, conducting pre-arrival checks, and resolving issues at destinations. You will ensure that all bookings are correct and coordinate with our sales team and clients to deliver the services paid for. Training will be provided, and you will be part of an Operations Team of six managing other destinations, who can assist you. This is a remote, work-from-home position. The role is full-time (40 hours/week), including emergency weekend phone coverage 1-2 weekends per month. Expect increased workload during peak season and less during off-season.

We offer a competitive fixed salary plus a significant bonus structure. The role involves responsibility, autonomy, and self-management.

Please note that this is a Contract position, functioning as a Freelancer or Consultant on a full-time basis.

Main tasks include:

  • Negotiating with new suppliers
  • Maintaining and optimizing relations with current suppliers
  • Making reservations via phone and email
  • Handling reservation changes (long-term and last-minute)
  • Finalizing bookings and communicating details to clients
  • Communicating with group leaders during trips
  • Coordinating with colleagues on bookings and changes
  • Being on-call for emergencies during weekends/nights (1-2 weekends/month)
  • Problem solving as needed

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Native-level fluency in French
  • Business-level English proficiency
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and customer-oriented mindset
  • Organizational talent (a plus)
  • Strong communication skills with clients and team members
  • Ability to quickly learn new IT systems
