Our client is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to manage the financial aspects of their rapidly growing business in Barcelona.

Position Overview:

You will oversee all daily financial activities, including budgeting, cash management, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate has a strong auditing background, critical thinking skills, and is ready for a challenging adventure.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, costs, and analysis.
2. Monitor budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and analyze deviations.
3. Improve efficiencies and reduce costs across the business.
4. Manage Group Treasury and Cash Flow, optimizing cash balances.
5. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis, providing regular reports and KPIs to senior management.
6. Manage relationships with external auditors and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
7. Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, offering insights to management.
8. Report directly to the CFO.

Requirements:

• Full professional proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in auditing (Big4 experience is a plus).
• Over 1 year of experience as a controller is valued.
• Strong knowledge of auditing principles and financial analysis techniques.
• Experience with PowerBI or similar tools.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Critical thinking, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
