BeChained has developed a solution for industrial manufacturers to optimize and reduce energy costs and carbon offset spending.

Our RL solution, integrated with existing facilities, continuously identifies optimal machine settings and automatically implements improvements.

We also enable demand-response and carbon market opportunities.

Our Data Operations team creates actionable data products for businesses, with data scientists and engineers collaborating on scalable solutions.

We deploy state-of-the-art algorithms into production, managing MLOps in an automated cloud environment. Our focus includes Multi-agent Deep Reinforcement Learning, with coding in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Numpy, among others.

• MSc or higher degree (preferably a Ph.D.) in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python within a Linux/Mac environment.
• Hands-on experience as a data engineer with MQTT, Spark or similar systems, containers (Docker), version control (Git), CI/CD, time series databases, cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud), Python.
• Ability to manage multiple work streams, leverage ambiguity for opportunities, and collaborate across teams.
• Experience in creating data product strategies, extensive Python use, and familiarity with time series and Jupyter notebooks.
• Good English communication skills; Spanish or other EU languages are a plus.
• Autonomy in decision-making and initiative-building.
• At least 2 years of experience in cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Work permit for Spain or the EU.
• Bonus: experience with industrial protocols (Modbus, MBus, RTU), SCADA, OPC-UA, PLC, etc.

• Containerize and develop microservices-based technology.
• Create scalable software services for real-time data processing and actionable instructions.
• Co-create technological roadmaps for ML initiatives.
• Build reusable, scalable components.
• Access and utilize real-time data from diverse industrial protocols and systems.
• Develop, test, and deploy libraries with high standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and product owners to automate large-scale data tasks.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies to enhance products.

• Experience building libraries or scalable services, ML lifecycle management, and deploying ML models.
