Descripción del empleo

We are hiring a Business Development Manager for Spain & Portugal. The role involves maintaining existing customer relationships and developing new ones within the territory. The candidate will provide excellent customer service and promote industry-leading products at competitive prices.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop detailed market profiles and identify opportunities using social media, insights, reports, publications, and market contacts.
  2. Collaborate with product management, R&D, and quality teams on new projects and opportunities.
  3. Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers.
  4. Travel for in-person meetings to promote products, strengthen relationships, address queries, and showcase the full product portfolio.
  5. Develop customer strategies and activation plans.
  6. Prepare sales quotes, negotiate prices, and close sales with effective business solutions.
  7. Stay informed about the product portfolio and industry trends through events, seminars, and memberships.
  8. Coordinate with customer service and internal teams on customer queries.
  9. Monitor financial and operational performance using internal data.
  10. Work with customers on forecasts to support financial and supply chain planning.
Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Food/Nutrition Science, Sales & Marketing, or related field.
  2. Experience managing customer bases in FMCG/Food Industry.
  3. Strong commercial acumen and desire to grow new business.
  4. Results-oriented with team problem-solving skills.
  5. Effective communication with all levels of personnel, customers, and vendors.
  6. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work flexible hours.
  7. Fluent in Spanish and English; French language skills are a plus.
  8. Proficient in MS Office, SharePoint, and social media platforms like LinkedIn.
