Project Description

Our company is rapidly growing and now we are looking for a Business Analyst with a Life Science / Pharma R&D focus to join our team of professionals. For this role you must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a business analyst role, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with project goals
• Act as a bridge between the customer and the technical team
• Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data flows and data models related to pharmaceutical research and development projects
• Analyse data and data sets to gain insights on data quality and usefulness
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
• Break down high-level business demands into Features, User Stories and technical tasks

Requirements - Must have

• Understanding of pharmaceutical R&D processes, data flows, data standards, regulatory requirements, and industry trends
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, process-oriented approach, ability to create documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Ability to break down high-level business demands in one sentence down to a feature, user story, and even a technical task wherever needed.
• Ability to create requirements
• Acceptance criteria of the requirements
• Definition of Done for the requirements.
• Clarify with Business Owner the data entities and fields which his / her product provides help him / her to add business-oriented descriptions to the fields and ensure that they are consistent
• Align on technical side: agree on how these entities and fields are provided from technology point of view and what is an SLA for them
• Support data developers during the implementation of the Data Model in Denodo
• Improve the modeling workflow itself to make and faster and more terminology-consistent contribute to "data pathways" (ways the data is traveling from multiple sources in the company to the consumers of it)

Requirements - Nice to have

• Understanding of “Data as a Product”, and Data Mesh / Data Fabric principles
• Knowledge of Data Modeling tools (e.g. Erwin)
• Experience with Data Virtualization technologies (i.e. Denodo or Tibco Data Virtualization)
• Experience with graph databases
• Experience with cypher queries
• Experience with data-focused solutions in Azure: Synapse, Databricks
• Experience of participating in Data Science / Analytics projects
