Allergan Aesthetics, a rapidly growing franchise within AbbVie, seeks an experienced Marketing Lead to spearhead the development and execution of our marketing strategies in Spain. This pivotal role focuses on driving success across our innovative portfolio, including botulinum toxin, facial fillers, and a medical device for fat reduction. The portfolio spans across prescription-only medicines, medical devices, and capital equipment, so the Marketing Lead will need to operate across these different technologies, driving marketing programs to support brand and customer needs while abiding by relevant codes of conduct.

In the role of Associate Director of Marketing, there is direct leadership of 8 Brand Managers, with a wider scope to work with a diverse cross-functional matrix team to drive strategy, operational excellence, and brand success. This is a senior-level position within the country commercial organization, and the successful individual will join the country Aesthetic Leadership team.

The AD Marketing will also engage closely with International Marketing and Commercial Operations (IMCO), ensuring alignment on plans and activities. This role will drive innovation and enhance Allergan Aesthetics’ digital and consumer marketing capabilities, positioning the franchise at the forefront of industry developments.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Contribute to the establishment of annual sales targets and forecasts for both existing and new products.
  2. Leverage comprehensive market data to evaluate brand performance and implement strategic actions as necessary.
  3. Oversee the promotional budget, ensuring all activities align with the overarching brand plan and deliver optimal results.

2. Brand Strategy Development and Tactical Execution

  1. Spearhead the creation of robust strategic plans for all brands.
  2. Develop annual cross-functional and operational brand plans, aligning multichannel strategies—including sales teams and other channels—with overarching strategic objectives.
  3. Design and deploy campaign assets across teams, including digital sales aids, briefing documents, and training guides.
  4. Develop digital marketing programs that adhere to GDPR and HCP compliance frameworks, enhancing brand visibility and engagement.
  5. Develop consumer campaigns for relevant parts of the portfolio.
  6. Manage creative and medical communication agencies.
  7. Prepare and execute the launch of new products and categories, ensuring strategic market entry.
  8. Facilitate the seamless communication of strategies and plans throughout the organization, with a specific focus on empowering sales teams.

3. Team Leadership and Development

  1. Lead, manage, and develop the marketing team to maximize their impact on business success and enrich their professional development.
  2. Collaborate with team members to establish individual development plans, providing ongoing support through regular meetings, while fostering a team culture in alignment with Allergan values.

Qualifications

  1. Must have prior healthcare marketing experience, ideally within Dermatology or Skin Care. Open to wider therapy areas, also open to consumer healthcare and FMCG backgrounds if demonstrated experience in a regulated environment.
  2. Sales / sales management experience or ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of customer needs / insights and applying these in marketing.
  3. Product launch experience at a country or international level.
  4. Experience of hiring and managing external agencies (creative / med communications).
  5. Digital and consumer experience preferred.
  6. Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentations).
  7. Demonstrated leadership and excellent influencing skills.
  8. Very strong planning and project management skills.
  9. Flexible and adaptable approach.
