Job Description

As the Global Head of Clinical Safety, you will oversee medical safety for product benefit/risk assessments during clinical development, focusing on our biologic Nemolizumab. Responsibilities include signal detection, risk management, safety analyses, and managing PV relationships. You will also review safety information in various regulatory documents and lead a global team of PV staff.

This role is highly autonomous and visible, offering a chance to impact patients' lives positively and live the Galderma vision: 'Advancing dermatology for every skin story.'

The position reports to the Global Head of Pharmacovigilance Risk Management. Relocation support from within the EU/UK is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Propose measures to minimize risks during clinical development and update Risk Management Plans.
  2. Partner with stakeholders to monitor safety profiles, validate signals, and propose risk measures.
  3. Manage aggregate safety reports (e.g., DSUR, PSUR, PBRER).
  4. Contribute to safety modules for regulatory submissions and respond to safety questions.
  5. Participate in safety-related meetings and support audits and inspections.
  6. Collaborate with various internal teams and manage a team of up to 5 direct reports.
Skills & Qualifications
  • MD degree required.
  • 12+ years in global clinical safety/pharmacovigilance, with drug development focus.
  • 3-5 years of line management experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of international regulations for drugs and biologics.
  • Experience with safety questions from health authorities in multiple regions.
  • Additional degrees in pharmacology, pharmacovigilance, or epidemiology are preferred.
