Application Programmer (m / w / d), Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time

The German Pension Insurance Saarland, as the regional provider of statutory pension insurance and supplementary miners' insurance, seeks to strengthen its IT team promptly.

Responsibilities

• Develop, support, and maintain applications and programs.
• Prepare, monitor, and execute test activities during software release changes.
• Create and maintain system documentation.
• Collaborate in working groups, project teams, and the pension insurance competence center.
• Develop database queries and searches using SQL.

Qualifications

• Completed technical / university studies in computer science or a related IT field, or equivalent skills and experience.
• Experience with JEE application development (tools : Eclipse, Maven, Git, plugins : Checkstyle, PMD, FindBugs; servers : JBoss, Websphere).
• Knowledge of COBOL, XML / JAXB, or C++ is advantageous.
• Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., Oracle) and SQL.
• Basic PC skills in Windows and Linux environments.
• Ability and willingness to quickly adapt to new work areas and methods.
• Willingness to undergo extended security checks as per Saarland regulations.
• Independent, goal-oriented work style with strong teamwork skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
• High levels of reliability, resilience, communication, organizational, and planning skills, along with initiative and responsibility.
• Willingness to perform remote maintenance outside regular hours in exceptional cases.
