Job Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain ETL processing pipelines for batch and near-real-time data, as well as analytical and machine learning workflows.
2. Work with a modern technology stack including Airflow, Kubernetes, Starburst, dbt, and Kafka.
3. Design, implement, and extend our enterprise data warehouse to support analytics and a data-driven business approach.
4. Extract data from various sources such as transactional databases, third-party tools, and APIs (e.g., Google Analytics (BigQuery), Google AdWords, Salesforce, MSSQL).
5. Write code that generates code; automatically create and extend pipelines.
6. Maintain and expand CI/CD pipelines, utilizing GitLab for automation of testing and deployment.
7. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, physics, mathematics, engineering, or equivalent experience.
8. Profound knowledge of SQL, especially in connection with dbt; conceptual understanding of RDBMS and Columnar Database concepts is advantageous.
9. Fluency in Python and experience with Linux platforms; familiarity with Airflow is a plus.
10. Experience with cloud data architectures (AWS or Azure) is preferred.
11. Willingness to learn and stay updated with relevant technologies.
12. Ability to work independently and rigorously as a team player, with a focus on continuous improvement.
13. Excellent English skills; knowledge of German is a plus.
