About the role:
The Industrial Distributor Business Manager is responsible for sales and relationship management with selected distributors/ambassadors. The role is accountable for driving growth with key customers, measured through sales volume and gross margin delivered.
This role develops and implements the account strategy to achieve long- and short-term business objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
- Accountable for financial delivery – volume, turnover, and cash results from the assigned key accounts.
- Construct and understand the overall distributor contact map; build positive relationships with senior management through events, meetings, and workshops.
- Collaborate with regional sales and functional teams to deliver and modify the value proposition for key accounts, including product, application, service, strategic alliances, co-development, and senior strategy partnerships, to ensure profitable growth.
- Set growth targets for each key account and develop resource plans; maintain strategic account plans.
- Design and lead achievement milestones for growth projects, applying project management principles and engaging customers efficiently.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders on progress, barriers, and resource concerns; leverage resources to resolve issues and advance projects.
- Stay informed about industry trends, customer insights, and technological developments; communicate findings to enhance offerings and secure internal support for new product development and improvements.
- Ensure all activities comply with BP’s code of conduct, legal requirements, and health, safety, and environmental policies.
Education:
- Minimum Science/Engineering graduate; business degree preferred.
Experience:
- Over 10 years in sales/marketing, including exposure to industrial product sales.
- More than 5 years managing relationships in large, national, or transnational accounts.
- Experience in account strategy, business planning, and value negotiation.
- Proficiency in customer relationship management and internal functional navigation.
- Mastery of consultative selling skills, offer, and product knowledge.
