About the role

We are looking for a full-time VR UX Designer to become part of the team creating our Live Streaming VR Applications. As a VR UX Designer, you'll be the main responsible for shaping intuitive and immersive user experiences in extended reality environments. You will work on the entire lifecycle of our apps, from the initial definition all the way to capturing feedback from our users and iterating our UX based on it.

The ideal candidate will have experience designing wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and interaction models optimized for immersive environments, communicating these designs effectively as part of a team of both technical and non-technical audiences, driving the implementation process from the design perspective, and evaluating the efficacy of the solutions designed, self-determining the priorities to work on from high-level requirements to make the designs become a reality. This is a position best suited for highly motivated, self-starters, unafraid of learning new skills.

What will you do?

• Design interaction flows in 3D environments : Create seamless and natural user experiences in virtual reality, ensuring intuitive navigation, controls, and accessibility.
• Optimize usability for VR : Design ergonomic interactions to minimize user fatigue and enhance immersion, considering factors like motion sickness, focal distance, and user comfort.
• Define and prototype VR experiences : Develop wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and mockups to validate UX concepts before implementation, ensuring smooth and immersive interactions.
• Proper documentation of work : Create comprehensive and understandable documentation to effectively communicate your designs.
• Collaborate on UI implementation in Unity : Work closely with developers to integrate UI elements, optimizing performance, visual clarity, and usability in Meta Quest.
• Conduct usability testing in immersive environments : Organize and execute user testing sessions to evaluate accessibility, ease of use, and interaction in VR, leveraging analytics and user feedback.
• Design onboarding experiences for VR : Create tutorials, interactive guides, or onboarding flows to help users quickly adapt to immersive experiences.
• Adapt designs across multiple devices : Ensure UX consistency across VR, AR, mobile, and web platforms, considering different interaction models and usage contexts.

What you will bring

• Proven experience with VR UX design.
• Experience defining, designing, prototyping, and assisting implementation of software products with a focus in ensuring high usability.
• Experience with design software suites (e.g., Adobe, Figma).
• Experience in designing for multi-platform experiences, ensuring UX consistency across VR, AR, mobile, and web platforms.

Bonus Points if you also

• Have academic qualifications in User Experience design and implementation.
• Have experience conducting user research and usability analysis.
• Have a strong understanding of design guidelines from major headset platforms (e.g., Meta Quest, Apple Vision Pro, and Android XR).
• Are familiar with 3D graphic engines (e.g., Unity).
• Know about Web UX design (HTML5+CSS implementation of designs).
• Are familiar with mockup tools for VR applications (e.g., Shapes XR).
