Job Description:

Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of world-class SEs
- Understand customers’ business requirements, technical needs, systems, environment, and service history to present targeted business solutions
- Present roadmap, vision, proposed architectures, and business outcomes to all levels – developers, architects, CTO, CIO
- Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, and Support
- Regularly liaise with the RSD and contribute to forecast planning
- Translate customer feedback into actionable product roadmap items
- Participate in evangelism activities (Cloudera Community Connection, blogs, meetups, industry events)
Qualifications:
- Experience building, leading, and managing teams
- Passionate about fostering team culture, communication, collaboration, and innovation
- Ability to identify and develop talent
- Enterprise Software and Big Data experience (familiar with Pig, Hive, Spark) and cloud certifications
- Understanding of Data Lake concepts, Operations, Security, and Data Governance
- Proficiency with Infrastructure, Java/.NET/Python, and SQL
- Interest in Data Science and understanding of Data Engineering vs. Data Science
- Passionate and inspiring leadership
- Proven OSS experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of core Apache Hadoop components and architecture evolution
- Solution Architecture/Engineering experience
- Streaming technologies (Nifi, Kafka, Storm, Spark, Flink, etc.)
- NoSQL databases (HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB)
- Experience with EDW solutions (Teradata, Netezza, GreenPlum, Exadata)
- Experience with Integration Products (Tibco, MuleSoft, IBM, Oracle, Spring Integration)
- Cloudera Certified Admin and/or Developer
