Sinclais is seeking a Hardware Technical Lead for their R&D department located in Esplugues del Llobregat.
The Hardware Technical Lead will be responsible for providing electronics and system designs that meet product requirements and regulatory standards, adhering to the company's quality standards.
About Sinclair
- Bachelor's degree in electronics, telecommunications, or a related field
- 10 years of experience in electronic development
- Proven success in electronic development projects within the medical device industry, from concept to commercialization
- Advanced degree in electronics, telecommunications, or a related field
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in electronic development
- Deep knowledge of hardware design principles, including analog/digital circuits, PCB layout, and signal integrity
- Experience with medical device regulations such as FDA QSR, ISO 13485, IEC 60601, and IEC 62304
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality and compliance
- Experience with design control, risk management, and design for manufacturability and reliability
- Proficiency in CAD tools (Altium Designer, OrCAD) and simulation tools (SPICE, MATLAB)

Key Responsibilities
- Lead hardware engineering teams in designing, developing, and testing medical devices, including electromechanical systems, sensors, and embedded systems
- Define hardware requirements and specifications based on product needs and standards
- Develop hardware architecture and design solutions ensuring performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance
- Oversee electrical safety testing per IEC 60601-1 and related standards
- Manage prototype delivery for V&V activities
- Plan and execute hardware projects, managing resources, schedules, and risks
- Collaborate with software, firmware, and mechanical teams for integrated product development
- Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and validation activities to ensure quality and compliance
- Ensure adherence to ISO 13485 and company project management procedures
- Drive continuous process improvements in hardware design and methodologies
- Mentor hardware engineers and promote a culture of innovation and excellence
- Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, regulatory, clinical, and other departments for product industrialization and support activities
- Support component sourcing, homologation, and verification testing
