Application Programmer (m / w / d), Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time

Start of Work: 01.03.2025

The German Pension Insurance Saarland, as the regional provider of statutory pension insurance and supplementary miners' insurance, is looking to strengthen its team in information technology as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop, support, and maintain applications and programs
  2. Prepare, monitor, and execute test work for software release changes
  3. Create and maintain system documentation
  4. Collaborate in work and project groups, including the pension insurance competence center
  5. Create database queries and searches using SQL

Qualifications

  1. Completed technical or university studies in computer science or a similar IT-oriented field, or equivalent skills and professional experience
  2. Experience in developing JEE applications (development environment: Eclipse; build tool: Maven; version management: Git; plugins for Checkstyle, PMD, FindBugs; JBoss and Websphere Application Server)
  3. Knowledge of COBOL, XML/JAXB, or C++ is advantageous
  4. Knowledge of relational database systems (e.g., Oracle) and SQL
  5. Basic PC skills in Windows environment
  6. Knowledge of Linux
  7. Willingness to quickly familiarize oneself with new work areas and methods
  8. Willingness to undergo an extended security check (SÜ2) per Saarland Security Check Act
  9. Independent, goal-oriented work approach
  10. Ability to develop solutions independently and work well in teams
  11. Willingness to engage in continuous professional development
  12. High commitment, reliability, resilience, communication, teamwork skills, organizational and planning skills, initiative, and sense of responsibility
  13. Flexibility to perform remote maintenance outside normal hours and on weekends if necessary
