We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Engineer with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn to join our DBI organization within Group Finance Value Stream.

Working on an Agile methodology, your day-to-day will involve various exciting challenges across a broad range of technologies. You should be capable of creating new Proof of Concepts (POC). Additionally, you will work on a CI/CD approach utilizing blueprints and reusable standard assets available at the company level.

You will implement solutions for projects supporting the achievement of Sustainability Goals as per the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) within the Group Finance Value Stream.

Your role

As a Data Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:

1. Analyzing data models and deriving logical conclusions.
2. Hands-on development and monitoring of the Azure cloud platform and associated components for data ingestion, transformation, and processing.
3. Diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues related to data infrastructure, including performance tuning and optimization.
4. Designing and writing programs according to functional and non-functional requirements.
5. Developing and maintaining technical documentation.

Your Skills and Experience

Ideally, you will have:

1. University-level education or equivalent.
2. 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
3. Ability to write complex SQL queries.
4. Good understanding of distributed computation.
5. Experience with Azure Cloud.
6. Experience with Databricks.
7. 2+ years of Python experience.
8. 1+ years of Pyspark experience.
9. 1+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
10. 1+ years of experience with DBT.
11. Experience with Python libraries like pandas or numpy.
12. Experience with scikit-learn, pytorch, keras, or similar frameworks.

Nice to have :

• Knowledge of design patterns.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Python Poetry framework.
• Experience in data exploration using notebooks (Databricks notebooks).
• Experience with experiment tracking and model registry (MLflow).
• Understanding of deploying, operationalizing, and monitoring ML models.
• Experience with prompt engineering.
• Experience in automating tasks with bash and python scripting.
