Formación

As a Product System Development Engineer at MAHLE, you will be responsible for:

  • Project E/E Development according to timing plan and assigned budget.
  • Coordinating engineering domains: Requirements Management, Hardware, Software, Mechanics, Functional Safety, Validation, and Industrialization.
  • Achieving prototypes and project milestones, ensuring MAHLE PDP deliverables.
  • Designing for Cost, Manufacturing, and Quality.

How can you become part of our success?

  • Technical and strategic coordination with the Product System Development Team Leader.
  • Managing new product development technically.
  • Applying lessons learned from previous projects.
  • Managing technical resources at the project level.
  • Being the main technical interface with the customer and production plant.
  • Analyzing and negotiating customer requirements with the System Requirements Engineer.
  • Coordinating development tasks across technical domains.
  • Developing the project according to budget and planning.
  • Collaborating closely with the Project Manager on risk and cost analysis.
  • Ensuring Design to Cost, Manufacturing, and Quality standards.
  • Planning and monitoring development cycles and prototype maturity levels following MAHLE PDP.
  • Approving the eBOM for each development cycle.
  • Owning Release Notes.
  • Organizing technical reviews involving other domains and the quality department.
  • Reviewing Design FMEA with the quality department.
  • Defining critical or safety characteristics of the product.
  • Managing and resolving technical problems.
  • Willingness to travel and provide on-site technical support.
  • Keeping the Project Manager and Team Leader informed on progress.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Degree in Electronics, Telecommunication Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Physics, or similar.
  • Proficiency in Spanish (C1).
  • Technical background in electronics development, especially in automotive electronics.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, MS Planning, Gantt, or similar tools.
  • Experience with MahCad or similar software.
  • Technical expertise in electronics design fields: Hardware, Layout, Software, Mechanical, Validation, Functional Safety, Prototyping, or Industrialization.
  • Experience with laboratory instrumentation and test setups: CANoe, INCA, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, etc.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills in electronics.

Preferred additional skills:

  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams (5-10 people).
  • Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of Automotive SPICE and ISO26262 (Functional Safety).
  • Experience reporting to management.
  • Previous customer and supplier interaction experience.
  • Experience in automotive sector and power electronics (desirable).
