LegalitAI is a mission-driven legaltech startup using AI to democratize access to legal services in the Spanish-speaking world. We’re reimagining legal assistance with technology, building tools to empower citizens, legal professionals, and businesses who are underserved by traditional systems. Think ChatGPT meets Legal Aid – but with a plan and purpose. We’re early-stage, passionate, and just crazy enough to believe the law should serve people, not the other way around. The Role

We are looking for a

Technical Co-Founder

who’s not afraid to get their hands dirty in code, models, or startup chaos. This is a

remote, equity-only

position – no salary (yet), but a seat at the table to build something meaningful from the ground up. You’ll work side-by-side with the founder (that’s me) on everything from product architecture to prototype development to AI / ML integration – and you'll help shape the future of access to justice in Latin America and beyond. What You’ll Do

Lead technical development of our MVP using AI, NLP, and other smart tools Build and test prototypes (and break them, then build better ones) Integrate ML models to handle legal document classification, chatbot interactions, and more Collaborate on product roadmap and vision Make strategic tech decisions as part of the founding team Help raise pre-seed funding and join the pitch conversation when needed Who You Are

civic tech Comfortable working independently and remotely Experience (or curiosity) with legaltech, GPT-based apps, or low-code tools is a plus Fluent in Spanish and / or English Looking for equity and

Prior experience as a startup founder or early-stage builder Open-source contributions Familiarity with legal systems in Latin America or Spain Some design sense (even if it's just good taste in Figma)
