Senior Information Security Engineer (Python) - Remote, remoto

This position is with UST, a multinational company based in North America, with over 35,000 employees worldwide. We are seeking a talented Security Engineer specializing in Python and security automation to join our Information Security team. The role is 100% remote for candidates in Spain.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop, implement, and maintain security automation scripts and tools using Python.
• Integrate security tools to automate processes and workflows.
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability analysis.
• Monitor security systems and automate incident response.
• Collaborate with teams to design security controls.
• Stay updated with security trends and technologies.
• Develop APIs for security tools integration.
• Build and edit automation with high reliability and efficiency.
• Implement and manage SOAR platforms (e.g., Cortex XSOAR, Splunk Phantom).
• Utilize Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and create Kusto Query Language (KQL) queries.
• Document security procedures and processes.
• Automate CI / CD pipelines and manage infrastructure as code with tools like Terraform or Ansible.

Mandatory Requirements :

• At least 4 years of Python programming experience, especially in automation scripts.
• Proven experience as a Security Engineer focusing on Python and automation.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell and Bash.
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS / IPS, firewalls, and scanners.
• Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
• API development and integration skills.
• Experience with SOAR platforms and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills :

• Bachelor's degree in relevant fields.
• Proficiency in KQL and IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, OSCP).
• Experience with CI / CD tools and DevSecOps practices.
• Understanding of network protocols and security architectures.
