A leading provider of family readiness coordination services seeks remote Clinical Counselors to support military personnel and their families. Candidates must have relevant advanced degrees and licensure, along with experience in crisis intervention and counseling. SRI seeks dedicated professionals to deliver critical ECRC Family Readiness Coordination Services for the Navy’s Fleet and Family Support Programs (FFSPs), aimed at enhancing the well-being of active duty members, retirees, civilians (OCONUS), and their families.
Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) requires comprehensive support for Fleet and Family Support Programs (FFSPs) across CONUS and OCONUS. The goal is to implement, evaluate, and develop services and programs that promote the well-being of military personnel and their families. The contract involves global staffing to support existing FFSP personnel and providing webinar hosting, production, and facilitation services via a learning management system.
The primary mission of each FFSP is to assist commands in achieving operational readiness, performance, retention, and quality of life improvements. The programs aim to foster resilience, prevent dysfunction, promote self-sufficiency, and enhance overall community well-being.
Tasks include crisis response, psychological first aid, non-medical counseling, Sailor Assistance and Intercept for Life (SAIL), family advocacy case management, and emergency preparedness. Additional programs may be provided if time permits after clinical tasks are completed.
Remote clinical counselors provide non-medical assessments and short-term counseling via MS Teams or telephonic methods within their designated area, prioritizing referrals and ensuring appropriate follow-up. They are responsible for intake, assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, safety assessments, documentation, and referrals, including handling cases of abuse or violence with proper reporting and handoffs.
Applicants must be U.S. Citizens, have reliable transportation, and successfully complete a background investigation, including criminal, credit, employment, and DMV checks. Skills include independent and team work, customer service, conflict resolution, communication, change management, judgment, and professionalism.
