Job Description

The Regional Customer Center Spain, based in Barcelona, focuses on South Europe (Spain, Portugal, Italy, France) and Latin America (Brazil, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Panama, Uruguay).

As a Software Engineer, your responsibilities include designing, programming, and testing IT software that implements custom functionalities in material handling systems, including business logic, controls, communication, reporting, data analysis, and emulation.

You will also integrate custom software modules with standard platform software to deliver comprehensive customer solutions, requiring proactive and process-oriented skills along with good interpersonal abilities.

Your role involves ensuring the high-quality operation of IT infrastructure, applications, and databases, collaborating closely with Operation and Services Teams to maintain service continuity.

Your responsibilities

  • Participate actively in project definition phases.
  • Create project configurations and detailed application designs.
  • Develop software and interfaces, verify components, and create unit tests.
  • Deploy and support systems in factory and customer sites.
  • Manage documentation and project deliverables.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, and support project teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Controls Engineers, Project Managers, and other Engineers across multiple projects.
  • Report directly to the IT Software Team Leader.

Your profile

We seek candidates with:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Systems or Software Engineering, with B2 level English and high proficiency in Spanish.
  • At least 2 years of experience in real-time systems, software development with C# and SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of SQL, TCP/IP, Angular, .NET, Jira, Bitbucket.
  • Proven API implementation experience, strong communication skills, and ability to work in an international environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and be team-oriented.

Highly regarded (optional)

  • Driving license, networking, Kubernetes, big data, logistics experience, agile mindset.
