Business Development Manager – Barcelona (Italian Speaker) – EV Charging – Hybrid – €40K to €55K Commission (Uncapped up to 50%)

Overview

We are seeking a driven Business Development Manager to lead sales growth in the EV charging sector across the Spanish market. Based in Barcelona with a hybrid working model, this role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of Southern European operations and contribute to the clean energy transition. Our client is a high-growth cleantech company specializing in smart energy platforms that enable renewable energy access, optimize usage, and reduce carbon emissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Revenue Growth : Drive new business with key stakeholders such as installers, distributors, and mobility partners. Manage and convert a dynamic B2B pipeline into long-term partnerships. Handle the full sales cycle from lead generation to negotiation and closing. Achieve revenue targets for EV hardware and subscription-based software services. Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across product lines.
  • Market Development & Strategic Relationships : Build strong relationships with Spanish installers, wholesalers, and local partners. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings. Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities to inform go-to-market strategies. Share customer insights with product and operations teams to improve solutions.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in EV, clean energy, or tech sectors.
  • Strong track record managing pipelines and meeting revenue goals.
  • Excellent communication skills to build trust and rapport.
  • Ability to explain technical products clearly and engagingly.
  • Native / bilingual Italian speaker with fluent English.
  • Based in or near Barcelona with flexibility for hybrid work.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and digital collaboration platforms.

  • Experience working with installer networks or distribution channels in Spain.
