Formación

• 7+ años de experiencia en la industria renovable.
• Conocimiento de tecnologías BESS y aplicaciones.
• Experiencia en análisis de costos y modelado de BESS.

Your Responsibility

1. Act as the internal subject matter expert on battery storage technology and performance for utility-scale energy storage projects.
2. Be responsible for analysing all new and current upgraded equipment in the market from the technical side in order to achieve the best results on the plants acquired and/or built.
3. Together with the PM in charge and supply chain management, provide the technical inputs needed to prepare tender specifications and evaluations in tendering processes for the procurement of equipment, BOS, and EPC services, especially focused on the PV plant, substation, and MV/HV lines of the evacuation line from the plant to the point of connection.
4. Stay up to date on news and advancements in the BESS industry, such as technological developments and new storage products released by suppliers.
5. Be responsible for the design, evaluation, and optimization of PV plants plus Storage and Standalone Energy Storage System design/s under analysis and/or construction.
6. Knowledge of applicable codes and standards, such as NESC, ASME, NEC, ANSI, IEEE, NERC, and UL.
7. Develop requirements for project safety systems and safety-oriented operational requirements.
8. During the development phase, prepare different optimized scenarios of PV plant and Energy Storage Systems layout and yield assessment as well as component analysis that would maximize the project value along the complete lifecycle.
9. In coordination with the Project Manager, support the BD team with all technical aspects of the deal that require input.
10. Study the requirements, define the conceptual and preliminary designs, and identify risks from an Energy Storage standpoint.
11. Ensure proper review of the engineering documentation.
12. Perform technology assessment, cost optimization, and sensitivity analysis.
13. Prepare the technical packages for manufacturers' and contractors' selection through RFP processes.
14. Review and evaluate the technical proposals submitted by EPC contractors and main equipment suppliers.
15. Provide all data required to evaluate the costs present and future of the projects and constantly strive to find more optimized methods (cost-wise) to design and build the plants.
16. Support the EPC in the preparation and coordination of RFPs for EPC/BOS contractor's selection, main equipment, and external.

Our Requirements

1. University degree: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related fields.
2. Experience within the renewable industry for at least seven (7) years.
3. Previous experience in developing and constructing PV+BESS/BESS projects is a plus.
4. Previous experience in BESS products as a manufacturer is a plus.
5. Understanding of different BESS technologies and applications.
6. Experience in providing cost-benefit analysis, business case development, technical due diligence, power systems simulation, asset management, and future energy scenarios modelling.
7. Experience in modeling BESS.
8. Knowledge: Electrical, mechanical and Civil PV plants and Energy Storage Systems designs, Electrical HV/MV design, light structures mechanical design, and civil work calculation.
9. Spanish as a mother tongue and proficiency in English (verbal and written). Italian is a plus.
10. Previous experience with HV interconnection infrastructures is desirable but not a must.
