Are you ready to be part of it? We’re hiring a Data Engineer.

Tasks in the role

• Design and develop robust data services in Python.
• Handle and integrate various data sources (data lakes) to create fast and reliable data services for backend systems.
• Decide on the best datastore for upcoming use cases.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to optimize query performance and data access patterns.
• Manage costs by choosing appropriate platforms for data storage and querying.
• Distinguish between hot and cold data, and decide whether to use managed services or self-managed solutions for better control.

Who we are looking for

• Full-time professional with demonstrated Python backend development experience.
• Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Redis.
• Backend experience with FastAPI and Celery.
• Big Data experience is a plus.
• Experience with containerized services (Docker), Kubernetes is a plus.
• Knowledge of data-caching solutions (Redis, Memcache).
• Experience scaling data-stores in multiple dimensions (concurrent requests and data volume).
• Experience with cloud-native environments (GCP is a strong plus).
• Exposure to monitoring, logging, and tracing tools like Splunk, Sentry, Grafana is a plus.
• Agile mindset with experience in Scrum and / or Kanban workflows.
