We are looking for an experienced Global IT Program Manager to join our CIO Office team in Barcelona!

The role

Under the supervision and guidance of her / his primary Community of Practice Lead and Head of Office of the CIO, Head of Stream / Head of Platforms based in Switzerland, the IT Program Manager manages a program to ensure it delivers the expected Business case to the Business partner, on time, on budget, on scope, and on quality. This may involve clearly defined upfront goals or require dynamic and iterative scoping, delivery, and change management (agile program management).

Adhering to established Program and Project Management methodologies, the manager is responsible for structuring the program, planning, budgeting, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing it, ensuring quality and integrity of information across the enterprise. They are accountable for the execution of project components.

The role includes managing program-level risks, quality, and procurement; leading the program team, and being the direct report for program-level resources responsible for executing assigned tasks. This includes project managers of projects within the program across Zones / Businesses.

  • Execution : Manage interdependencies, monitor projects, and assess risks.
  • Stakeholder Management : Develop stakeholder maps and communication plans.
  • Closure : Close the program and projects, and manage team and resources.

What will make you a great fit?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Functional SAP Supply Chain / Procurement experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT and business / industry.
  • 5-7 years of experience as a Program Manager with increasing leadership responsibilities across major projects and programs, including agile initiatives.
  • Leadership skills and a proven track record in developing people, particularly in managing virtual teams.
  • Experience managing cultural diversity and working effectively across various cultures.
  • Experience managing change and transitions, operating in a matrix organization, and developing influencing skills.
  • Stakeholder management experience in project / program roles.
  • Facilitation skills for issues and conflict resolution in cross-functional environments.
  • Effective communication skills at different organizational levels in English.
  • Experience working in a global environment with virtual teams.
