Descripción del empleo

The IT Support Specialist provides essential technical support to Gleeds staff, ensuring optimal performance of IT systems in our office in France, as well as giving assistanceacross the offices in Spain, Portugal and Italy. This role is critical in maintaining productivity, managing equipment inventory, and supporting compliance with ISO standards, while delivering exceptional service to colleagues in line with Gleeds' commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Acting as the first point of contact for all IT-related queries and issues from Gleeds teams.
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network problems through remote and in-person support.
  • Configuring and installing new workstations, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Managing user accounts, access permissions, and software licenses.
  • Providing guidance to staff on IT systems and applications.
  • Supporting video conferencing, presentations, and IT aspects of meetings.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory of all IT assets and equipment.
  • Processing and tracking equipment allocation, returns, and replacements.
  • Coordinating with suppliers of IT equipment.
  • Maintaining information security standards and assisting in preparation of documentation to ensure successful ISO compliance audits.
  • Ensuring adherence to IT policies and procedures aligned with ISO requirements.
  • Participating in regular security assessments and implement required improvements.
  • Monitoring systems for security breaches and responding according to established protocols.
  • Contributing to disaster recovery planning and business continuity measures.
  • Participating in IT projects and improvement initiatives.
  • Remaining in the remit of your role and when additional responsibilities need to be carried out, conduct this in a fully informed manner with the approval of your line manager.

About You

Who we’re looking for :

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in IT support roles.
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of information security principles.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001 standards and requirements.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Calm approach to high-pressure situations.

Fluent in written and spoken French, Spanish and English with ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
