You'll forge strong partnerships with Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams to understand their needs, whilst managing external vendors to deliver top-tier quality. Leveraging your mastery of Translation Management System (Lokalise), you'll implement innovative solutions, track progress, and ensure our products resonate seamlessly across diverse locales, breaking down language barriers and fostering a smooth, intuitive user experience globally.
What You'll Do :
As a Localisation Project Manager at Sitetracker, you will oversee all aspects of our localisation projects, ensuring cultural and linguistic adaptation for target markets. This role requires strong project management, communication, collaboration skills, and a thorough understanding of localisation processes.
The Skills You'll Have :
- Communication : Fluency in English is mandatory; additional fluency in Spanish, French, German, Italian, or Dutch is highly advantageous.
- Experience building relationships with vendors such as translators, localisation project managers, and account managers.
- Strong relationships with internal stakeholders across engineering, design, QA, marketing, customer success, implementation, and sales across different global time zones.
- Localisation Process : Establishes and maintains consistent terminology and stylistic guidelines; manages external translation vendors; oversees localisation lifecycle; collaborates to establish workflows; ensures technical product adaptation.
- Localisation quality assurance : Establishes quality metrics; sets benchmarks; manages QA workflows; documents errors; reports on quality; analyzes data; provides feedback; manages vendor performance.
- Technical Aptitude : Proficient with at least one TMS (e.g., Lokalise, Trados); experienced with Jira or similar tools; familiar with localisation file formats; understands software development lifecycles and content management systems.
Within 90 Days, You'll :
- Achieve certification in Sitetracker platform.
- Build relationships with key internal stakeholders.
- Gain proficiency in Lokalise and other tools.
- Lead at least two major localisation projects.
- Understand Sitetracker's localisation standards.
- Review ongoing efforts for improvements.
Within 180 Days, You'll :
- Manage multiple localisation projects ensuring budget and schedule adherence.
- Strengthen relationships across departments and vendors.
- Implement significant process improvements.
- Negotiate with vendors and establish review processes.
Within 365 Days, You'll :
- Complete key projects with measurable improvements.
- Master our TMS and workflow, suggest enhancements.
- Train internal teams on localisation best practices.
- Address gaps and establish metrics for ongoing improvement.
- Become a key advocate for localisation within Sitetracker.
