JOB SUMMARY

Working under limited supervision, performs a variety of semi-routine assignments by following established procedures. Recognizes when deviations are necessary to resolve problems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Follows established procedures on routine assignments; receives instructions on new tasks; completes assignments in areas including:

• Training and coordinating activities of machine operators or Maintenance Assistants in maintaining production equipment.
• Troubleshooting non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in manufacturing.
• Dismantling, adjusting, repairing, and assembling equipment according to plans, manuals, or drawings.
• Using test and diagnostic equipment for checkouts.
• Rebuilding manufacturing equipment as needed.
• Performing scheduled preventive maintenance and documenting it accordingly.
• Assisting in moving and installing equipment.
• Calibrating equipment with appropriate test tools.
• Possibly sourcing equipment parts.
• Working overtime or on-call if required.
• Following all security procedures.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

• Understanding of company policies and procedures.
• Effective communication skills in English, including technical communication.
• Proficiency with basic and specialized hand tools, leveling instruments, and calibration equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot failures detectable at the IO level.
• Basic mathematics skills.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Knowledge of electronic color codes and component markings.
• Understanding of safety practices.
• Experience with maintenance tracking programs.
• Proficiency in Windows environment (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Associates degree in electronics emphasizing servo positioning or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience with electro-mechanical equipment in manufacturing.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
