The position title is Manager, Global Business Development

This position reports to the Head of Search & Evaluation, Business Development & Licensing, General Medicine - Operations

Candidates must be based in major cities in the UK, Germany, Spain, or Italy to ensure effective access to key business networks and convenient travel connections.

EXPECTED TRAVEL : Up to 25%

CONTEXT

  • Support and drive deal making across mature brands and innovative assets prior to launch across mature and emerging markets.
  • Support and drive divestment / out-licensing activities ranging from deal scoping, market analysis, deal structuring, cross-functional due-diligence project management to contract negotiations for global and regional opportunities.
  • Manage due-diligence, data room set-ups, and partner interaction with a good understanding of regulatory, supply chain, finance, commercial, and other functions.

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate new business opportunities by leveraging existing and new networks to create leads.
  • Participate in the development of short, mid, and long-term portfolio strategies, based on detailed market analysis and insights from relationships.
  • Ensure efficient planning and successful implementation of all relevant process steps throughout project execution, with close alignment of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive asset scoping, financial analysis, market research, and deal structuring creatively to create viable deals.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional due-diligence processes.
  • Support and lead interactions and negotiations with partner companies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: (mandatory) Bachelor’s degree in Science or Business; (preferred) Master’s degree, possibly an MBA.
  • Experience: 5-7 years in deal making within the healthcare or biopharmaceutical space, including commercial and marketing responsibilities.
  • Skills: Deep understanding of pharmaceutical markets, financial acumen, presentation and negotiation skills, project management, recognized expertise by peers and leaders.
  • Languages: Fluent English required; additional European languages (German, Italian, Spanish) at business proficiency preferred.
  • Attitude: Driven, flexible, proactive, organized, analytical, detail-oriented, able to work under pressure, communicative, confident, charismatic.
