About the Role

You have experience in guarantees and bonds issuance, good interpersonal skills, and enjoy direct client contact. Have you been working internationally? This might be your next challenge:

You will be responsible for domestic and international client servicing, especially timely and accurate request and inquiry handling, issuance of bonds and guarantees, with the following key responsibilities:

  1. High level of interaction and coordination with our team members, underwriters locally and in other markets, as well as external clients, brokers, and other external partners such as banks and insurers.
  2. Capture bonds and guarantees in systems and tools, including checking and issuing such documents and processing any amendments. If applicable, prepare documents for issuance and seek customer approval.
  3. Analyze and work with detailed source documents such as issuance requests, facility agreements, and guarantee wordings.
  4. Manage internal stakeholders by adhering to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and customer requirements.
  5. Contribute to processes for the mitigation of operational and regulatory risks.
  6. Analyze and identify any premium and fee discrepancies and decide on appropriate actions.
  7. Compile, review, and verify data accuracy using source documents, detect errors, and initiate corrections while following up with customers or process owners.
  8. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and handle document processing for supported teams, as appropriate.
  9. Perform assigned rule-based tasks following standard operating procedures.
  10. Follow established performance standards and metrics.

About the Team

You are part of the Madrid-based Surety Operations Team servicing EMEA clients. Our team is spread across Europe, Asia Pacific, North, and Latin America, transforming into a reliable organization that collaborates closely with global Credit & Surety business teams. We strive for high customer satisfaction and support the business in achieving profitable growth.

About You

Education:

  • Degree in banking, finance, or a related field
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience

Relevant professional experience:

  • Experience with bonds, guarantees analysis, and issuance
  • Basic knowledge of trade finance, guarantee business, sanctions, AML procedures, and company law
  • Proficiency in Italian and English (reading, written, verbal); additional languages (German, French) are a plus
  • Skills in Microsoft Office and basic internet knowledge; SWIFT messaging is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and in teams, handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to identify and report problems, follow processes, adapt to situations, and make decisions to achieve desired results

Responsibilities

  • Occasional travel for meetings, training, and updates

For Spain, the base salary range is between 38,000 EUR and 63,000 EUR for full-time employment. The specific salary depends on the role's requirements, scope, complexity, responsibilities, and the candidate's profile. Additional rewards and benefits, including performance-based bonuses, may be offered.
