What is the purpose of this role?
- Drive the business line in all responsible areas to unleash its full potential.
- Manage and develop assigned categories of the B&PC Business Line and its product offering with upline support to ensure optimal business performance within the portfolio mix and growth objectives in Europe.
- Responsible and accountable for all business and strategic aspects of the assigned category.
- Act as brand champion for Europe and strategic liaison to Regional Marketing Team in all areas of the portfolio offering – active member of regional marketing category teams.
- Provide direct support to the Manager Portfolio Europe on all relevant business topics.
- Support larger markets in Europe / S.A. with additional local promotions targeted to individual and seasonal market needs in cooperation with upline.
What you’ll do :
- Responsible for growth and profitability of the assigned brand category.
- Responsible for brand building and consistent brand messaging in Europe for assigned categories within the business line.
- Monitor and analyze brand financials, using findings to actively steer brand business plans.
- Develop and implement short-term and long-term marketing strategies for the assigned categories for the European region, including launch and discontinuance decisions, as well as development of compelling marketing campaigns for hero products and key launches.
- Collaborate with upline to evaluate, define, and drive new product ideas as input to the Regional Brand Team.
- Work with European counterparts and Regional teams to develop and implement strategies and actions for relevant categories.
- Manage brand budgets.
- Monitor and analyze market and industry trends.
- Coordinate with the communication department, including developing briefings for creative agencies.
- Use market research to understand consumer and distributor needs and inform marketing decisions.
- Guide and develop staff members within the same product category.
- Prepare information materials and decision papers for internal management and business partners.
- Collaborate with Promotion lead and other business lines on promotional activities and item selection to enhance promotion efforts.
What you’ll need :
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Marketing, Management), MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years FMCG or OTC experience in brand and product management within a multinational company.
- Experience with Beauty products is an advantage.
- Experience with promotional activities is an advantage.
- Languages: Fluent in written and spoken English; additional European languages are preferred.
- Experience with market research projects and external agencies.
- Team player, experienced in working with international and cross-functional teams.
- Experience in an international environment.
- Strong business acumen, especially financial skills.
- Experience in coaching and staff development.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills.
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Self-reliant, proactive, and highly motivated.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Willing to travel.
