We are looking for a seasoned and highly technical cloud Linux Engineer to join the Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure SRE Team as part of a multi-year cloud transformation program.

Position details:

• 100% remote position for candidates located in Spain.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Engineer and integrate cloud IaaS solutions & services following industry best practices with a focus on scalability, fault tolerance, resilience, security, observability, and simplicity.
2. Run proof of concepts for new cloud IaaS, container services, or third-party cloud tooling.
3. Collaborate with peers to understand cloud service or enhancement priorities.
4. Work closely with development teams to facilitate their cloud journey, evaluate new cloud service requirements, and implement solutions globally.
5. Optimize device performance and concurrency through appropriate tuning techniques.

Required skills and experience:

• Infrastructure and cloud IaaS engineering experience.
• Cloud Linux experience, primarily with RHEL and Ubuntu.
• High-level Unix/Linux administration skills.
• Experience with Ubuntu 20, Ansible, and Ansible Automation Platform.
• Scripting skills, preferably in Python.
• Experience with Docker and Terraform.
• Understanding of metrics and statistics for performance and capacity measurement.
• Security and vulnerability compliance expertise.
• Experience working with stakeholders on cloud application migrations and large-scale infrastructure initiatives.
• Strong infrastructure knowledge including Virtualization, Databases, Networks, Windows, Linux, Storage.
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with modern engineering practices, agile methodologies, and CI/CD automation.
• Passion for building and delivering services via APIs.
• Experience designing, engineering, and implementing cloud IaaS solutions on Azure and AWS.
• Maintaining GitHub appliances.
• Hands-on experience with Hashicorp Vault.
• Designing and supporting AKS/EKS environments.
• Experience with cloud transformation and change management programs.
• Certifications in Azure, RHEL, and/or Ubuntu.
• Understanding of cloud service capabilities and strengths in AWS and Azure.
