The Role

We are seeking a Junior to Mid UI / UX Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing and implementing user interfaces using pre-built component libraries.

This role is ideal for a frontend engineer who enjoys working within structured design systems and delivering high-quality, data-driven user experiences. You will define UI structures using existing components and implement them in code, without relying on a separate designer.

Key Responsibilities

• UI / UX Design & Implementation: Design web interfaces with pre-built components (NextUI, HeroUI, Tailwind), ensure consistency, usability, and accessibility, and create wireframes based on structured design principles.
• Frontend Development: Implement designs using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS; develop scalable, maintainable, and performant UI; collaborate with product managers; own both design and development processes; maintain high coding standards.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of frontend experience with Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind
• Strong UI/UX principles understanding and ability to work within structured design systems
• Experience with UI component libraries (NextUI, HeroUI, or similar)
• Ability to design and structure UI without a dedicated designer
• Proficiency in HTML & CSS; clean, maintainable code
• Experience with design tools (Figma, Visily)
• Version control experience (Git)
• Portfolio demonstrating UI design and frontend implementation

Nice to Have

• Experience with design systems and component-based architecture
• Background in D2C product development or performance marketing
• Accessibility and usability optimization experience

Location

Ruby Labs operates within CET (Central European Time). Applicants worldwide are welcome if located within ±4 hours of CET for optimal collaboration.
