For an international institution, we are urgently seeking an experienced (Senior) Solutions Architect for a full remote position, with recent architecture experience in developing solutions linking mobile (particularly Android) and server-side solutions.

Candidates must be fluent in English. This is a long-term position open to contractors or employees. Work permits are not required.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Design and lead the implementation of solutions architecture across specific business applications or technologies based on organizational strategy and requirements;
• Analyze current business / IT environment and solution portfolio to identify deficiencies and recommend improvements;
• Understand technology trends and apply emerging technologies to enable new business and operating models;
• Define principles, guidelines, standards, and solution patterns to align with the future-state architecture vision;
• Design and oversee governance activities to ensure architecture assurance and compliance;
• Evaluate and select software standards and services, and design software configurations;
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure projects to ensure systems align with architecture and modify projects as needed;
• Document all architecture design and analysis work;
• Work with business leaders, PMO, project teams, and IT staff to fulfill responsibilities.

Profile

• At least 5 years of recent professional experience in IT solution development, including architecture, network management, application development, middleware, and software design;
• Recent experience in developing solutions linking mobile (especially Android) and server-side solutions;
• Proven leadership and decision-making skills;
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional, or interdependent projects at the global or international level;
• Knowledge of enterprise technical architecture components;
• Strong understanding of application development methodologies, infrastructure, and network architecture;
• Experience with SDLC practices and tools such as version control, packaging, TDD, continuous integration, test automation, and code quality metrics;
• Experience designing and developing complex mobile solutions, especially Android;
• Experience with service-oriented (preferably microservice) architectures;
• Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting infrastructure services at various levels;
• Experience working with senior management.
