Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Business development of Crop Sciences GEP activities in Europe
- Sales and customer contract development
- Key account management as required
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead sales and development activities.
- Identify existing and future market opportunities.
- Approach all sector customers and potential clients.
- Focus on European GEP business growth.
- Attend industry events to promote SGS services.
- Promote the company's image, capability, and integrity to product-line customers.
- Coordinate with the Marketing Manager to produce publicity materials and utilize global media for news dissemination.
- Seek additional opportunities and offer new or enhanced services to existing and new clients.
- Find new business and increase revenue in this sector.
- Innovate and improve service delivery to regional customers.
- Manage projects for clients requiring tailored services.
- Collaborate with Crop Science Country Business Managers for consistent service delivery.
- Work with International Sales/Business Development Managers to approach markets as a unified global team.
- Identify service gaps geographically and work with management to explore new opportunities, including potential acquisitions.
- Promote and implement new service innovations.
- Contribute to regional strategy and business development programs.
- Coordinate with Study Directors, Technical Governance, and Country Business Managers for training and operational improvements.
- Continuously improve client service solutions based on customer feedback.
- Provide key account management for designated clients requiring specific attention.
- Serve as the main client contact when needed.
- Develop customized service proposals with team support.
- Standardize the commercial approach to regional key accounts.
- Analyze data and present results to key accounts effectively.
- Represent the voice of the client within SGS.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Participate in projects as assigned by the Vice President - NR Agri Commodities / Crop Sciences.
Qualifications
Profile
- Over 10 years of experience in Crop Sciences, Consultancy, or TIC industry commercial roles.
- Degree or Master’s level education.
- Proven success in sales and business development.
- Strong reputation for collaboration with senior industry stakeholders.
- Knowledge of GLP Crop Sciences operations and testing standards.
- Leadership and people management skills.

- Excellent command of English; proficiency in French, German, or Spanish is highly beneficial.
