Reporting directly to the E-Commerce Web Marketing, CRO & SEO Manager, the E-Commerce Copywriter & Content Strategist is responsible for creating digital content for our e-commerce website.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Draft, write, and manage all business-related writing materials, producing texts and content guidelines aligned with company and brand standards for website homepage, editorial landing pages, banners, informational pages, customer care pages, merchandising categories, and social media.
- Create, edit, and oversee copy across all touchpoints in American/British English and Italian, supervising translations in other languages for length, format, and register where possible.
- Develop both long and short-form content, including blog editorials, push notifications, and AdWords ads.
- Handle the creation of media content across channels and campaigns (Google, Facebook, Instagram, Remarketing, Affiliation).
- Collaborate with external Media Agencies and partners to optimize content and maximize ROI, ensuring budget targets are met.
- Monitor and optimize campaigns in partnership with third parties based on content performance.
- Analyze competitors both quantitatively and qualitatively to generate new content ideas.
- Manage newsletter calendar, craft compelling copy, and analyze performance metrics to improve open rates, CTOR, engagement, and conversion rates.
- Assist in defining and setting up audience segments via SFCC Marketing Cloud, and verify newsletter layouts for message consistency and language accuracy before deployment.
- Utilize customer insights to produce targeted content for organic and paid media.
- Collaborate with merchandising, content & design, omnichannel, and customer care teams to align copy with marketing strategies.
- Maintain a consistent tone and style across all channels, tailored to target audiences and brand identity.
- Review Media Agency reports to monitor campaign performance and initiate updates as needed.
- Test and verify campaign previews, categories, landing pages, and product listings for consistency and accuracy.
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends and optimize content for maximum ROI.
- Apply SEO principles to website copy and meta tags.
- Support the Web Marketing team with qualitative analysis of campaigns, newsletters, and on-site content.
- Require at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the fashion/lifestyle industry.
- Experience with SEO and analytics tools such as Google Analytics 360, Google Trends, SEMrush, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud is advantageous.
- Proficient in Office package, especially Excel, with basic HTML knowledge.
- Preferably a native English speaker (British or American); additional languages are a plus.
- Be cooperative, precise, and capable of working under strict deadlines.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
