The Data & Performance (D&P) organization drives the company’s agenda to deliver Trust Data @ Scale. It also owns the company’s data security strategy and initiatives to ensure proper data guardrails are in place.

Aligned with our Code of Conduct, the Trust Charter, and the regulatory landscape, we are seeking an experienced Data Security Lead with an innovative, agile, and pragmatic mindset to secure data flows, architecture, bolster regulatory compliance, and future-proof our Data Strategy against existing and emerging threats.

What will you do?

1. Lead the Data Risk management activity focusing on Data security and protection, governing the rollout of policies, controls, standards, and performance measurement.
2. Lead key Data Risk & Security Portfolio initiatives, such as Data Classification Operationalisation, Secure Data Sharing, Data Discovery, or Data Loss Prevention.
3. Support Data Security governance topics such as Crown Jewels, critical systems/assets protection, critical supplier interactions, and data systems resilience (e.g., BCP).
4. Proactively engage with the network of Data Officers & Data Domains regarding Data Risk & Security, providing guidance and mentoring as needed.
5. Promote innovation and knowledge exchange on data security and risk best practices, including education and awareness initiatives.
6. Use data and learnings from past incidents to drive auto-discovery capabilities.
7. Manage data incidents/security incidents to ensure cohesive responses.
8. Provide dashboards for management visibility of data risks.
9. Manage ISO27701 (ISO27001 extension) to achieve compliance.
10. Brainstorm and define best-in-class security processes, including monitoring capabilities, to ensure the security of data supply chains.
11. Design security initiatives to future-proof the security posture of data supply chains based on incidents, red team exercises, etc.
12. Collaborate with internal and external teams to achieve objectives.
13. Develop and deliver security training, education, and awareness initiatives.
14. Ensure Business Data Offices’ continuous compliance with Schneider Electric security, legal, and data privacy policies and standards.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

1. A solid security or enterprise architecture background, with understanding of Cloud and Database/data management.
2. External or internal consulting/IT advisory experience, preferably with a global scope.
3. Experience with data security (including DLP and DSPM) and access rights management such as IAM.
4. Risk assessment & management skills, audit capabilities, certifications, and experience with security incident post-mortems and reporting.
5. Analytical thinking with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business owners.
6. Familiarity with data pipelines and SQL (RedShift experience is a plus).
7. Ability to distill complex topics into succinct stories for executives.

Experience and Professional Certifications

• Minimum 4 to 6 years of professional experience in cybersecurity governance, operations, or program delivery, or security architecture design authority.
• Knowledge of Big Data/BI/Analytics security, including SQL security and secure configuration/hardening.
• Knowledge of EU GDPR or US CCPA data privacy security requirements for Big Data compliance.
• Knowledge of cloud, application, and host-based security controls.
