The role involves providing technical guidance, collaborating on feature development using Python and AWS, and ensuring high-quality code through testing and documentation. Ideal candidates will have strong AWS and Python skills, along with experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

We are looking a Senior Data Platform Engineer!

He / she will :

• Provide technical guidance to other team members
• Collaborate developing Data Platform features using python and AWS serverless services
• Build, test and maintain back-end components, including security, API's,.. following software engineering best practices.
• Strive for re-usability, good code quality, software engineering best practices,...
• Contribute to technical and architectural decision-making
• Support the release process
• Ensure quality through testing and documentation
• Support our operations team when needed

Requirements

• Very good knowledge of AWS (API Gateway, S3, IAM, Lambda, DynamoDB, Lake Formation, etc)
• Solid knowledge on Big Data, Analytics and / or DevOps
• Proficiency with Python.
• Experience with some development framework such as Flask, Django, FastAPI,.. preferred
• Good command and experience with Docker - Knowledge and experience with Infrastructure as a Code (CloudFormation, etc)
• Git / Gitflow master
• Good knowledge of SQL
• Good command of engineering practices such as code refactoring, design patterns, design driven development, Cloud Native Applications, APIs, API Gateways, and security, microservices architecture, Serverless
• Good understanding of the agile software development process
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem solving, good communication and collaboration skills Proficiency in English
