We are looking for a Data Protection & Privacy (DP&P) expert to join us within our Data Protection Office (Group level) and support us in coordinating and supporting a global network of Privacy contacts. The team navigates the complexities of data management and compliance, maintaining the highest standards of privacy and data protection. The role involves securing insights on regulations, best practices, and risk assessments to ensure robust measures for safeguarding sensitive information and compliance with legal requirements.

The DP&P Expert will play a key role in :

  • Drafting and updating data protection documents
  • Disseminating, and raising awareness of regulations within the company
  • Providing support and recommendations to the various company functions
  • Managing requests for the exercise of individual rights
  • Contributing to the management of data breaches
  • Animating our community of Data Protection & Privacy correspondents globally.

What will you do?

  • Policy Governance: Govern data protection agreements, policies, and procedures to safeguard personal information.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments related to data processing activities and advise on mitigating measures.
  • Training and Awareness: Provide training to employees on data protection best practices and raise awareness about data privacy issues.
  • Document Management: Draft and update privacy notices, data processing agreements, and data sharing agreements.
  • Incident Response: Manage data breaches and security incidents, including reporting to regulatory authorities and communicating with affected individuals.
  • Individual Rights Request: Handle requests exercising data rights under applicable laws.
  • Advisory Role: Act as an advisor to departments on data protection issues.
  • Contractual Review: Review and negotiate contracts with third parties to ensure data protection obligations are included.
  • Data Transfers: Oversee international data transfers and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in data protection compliance or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Law, Information Security, Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • Solid experience in data protection, with in-depth knowledge of GDPR and international data protection regulations
  • Strong understanding of technology and digital systems to assess data privacy implications
  • Familiarity with operating in multiple jurisdictions and navigating varying regulatory environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with IT, cyber, and other departments to embed data privacy practices
  • Proficiency in negotiating contracts involving data usage, ensuring compliance and protection
  • Capability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
