Alexion, AstraZeneca Rare Disease Unit Data Product Lead

Alexion, AstraZeneca Rare Disease Unit is looking to build the next generation of patient-centric data products to support scalable AI solutions. We are seeking a qualified individual passionate about utilizing healthcare data and platforms to drive business innovation. This role involves leading the development and maintenance of data management solutions, focusing on business process analysis and functional data management. Reporting directly to the Head of Data Management in IT, this position works closely with functional Data Governance Offices, IT Business Partners, Data Capability leads, and Platform Owners.

Accountabilities

1. Manage end-to-end delivery and maintenance of data products for RDU Operations and Finance functions, translating business demands into data foundation needs and implementing data products according to RDU standards.
2. Manage the functional roadmap of core and derived/analytical data products aligned with business processes.
3. Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT system owners across MDM, RDM, and Data Catalogue to ensure adoption of FAIR and Trustworthy data standards.
4. Work with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and Data Quality Managers to promote data standardization and best practices.
5. Engage with SMEs and Information Architects to support the development of conceptual models, business glossaries, and ontologies.
6. Maintain knowledge of R/Python, SQL, and experience with Pharma Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance data assets and processes.
7. Familiarity with application systems like SAP, Anaplan, TrackWise, and LIMS.
