Business Development Manager, Marketplace

Amazon Marketplace is seeking a dynamic and motivated executive to acquire and manage key accounts. The Business Development Manager will develop a sales pipeline of high-value and transactional accounts, recruit and launch businesses to sell their products, and manage the portfolio to grow their sales.

Specifically, this individual will be responsible for:

  1. Identifying and building relationships with key influencers and decision-makers within prospective accounts, as well as internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to create and present compelling Amazon solutions that meet and exceed customer requirements.
  2. Post-acquisition, supporting the success of those accounts by providing business insights, training, support, and seller education.
  3. Identifying, qualifying, acquiring, and growing seller commitment to Selling on Amazon.
  4. Implementing and tracking metrics to record the success and quality of sellers in your territory, analyzing customer data, and making recommendations to maximize territory potential.
  5. Preparing and delivering business reviews regarding progress and the health of the respective territory.
  6. Managing complex contract negotiations and liaising with the legal team.

We are a business development organization driving growth for over 2 million Amazon Sellers through business intelligence, cross-selling efforts, and integrated account management. Our focus is on aggressive growth for our sellers' businesses.

Qualifications include:

  1. Experience prospecting, qualifying, and cold-calling companies.
  2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications.
  3. Experience with pipeline management using Salesforce or other CRM tools.
  4. Fluency in speaking, writing, and reading English.
  5. At least 2 years of experience in New Business Development, Account Executive, or similar roles.
