Tasks

• As a systems engineer in the field of IT infrastructure, you will manage IT projects for the strategic renewal and optimization of the IT systems used while adhering to time and budget.
• You will work with internal and external service providers and customers to ensure consistent project implementation of cross-divisional requirements.
• Conceptual development of future-oriented and sustainable IT strategies is also part of your area of activity.
• You will also be responsible for identifying and tracking improvement and automation potential resulting from process requirements and legal regulations to ensure information security and system availability.
• Your skills are characterized by interdisciplinary architecture design, implementation and continuous optimization of the computer, network and storage infrastructure and associated IT security, monitoring, backup and disaster recovery systems, mechanisms and procedures.
• Within your area of activity, you will also deal with the evaluation of faults and results from anomaly detection. You will focus in particular on developing and implementing cross-system workarounds and countermeasures.
• The derivation and implementation of architectural preventive measures to optimize system resilience as well as fault and anomaly detection is another part of your field of activity.
• Taking on the role of asset owner in relation to information security in the area of application and in the cross-company IT security team, the responsible creation of risk analyses, the development and introduction of processes and functions to comply with the legal requirements for information security while safeguarding the company's interests round off your job profile.

Requirements

• You have a Master's degree in computer science or a comparable qualification.
• You already have extensive knowledge of operating systems such as Windows and Linux-based systems. You have already gained experience in managing IT projects and managing service providers.
• Working in agile structures is no obstacle for you. You also have experience in the operation of network technology (routing, firewall, VLAN, VPN, SDN) and knowledge of the virtualization environment (VMware).
• Your personality is characterized by a very high sense of responsibility, high self-motivation, ability to work in a team, persuasiveness, reliability, conscientiousness, independent, systematic and structured way of working, flexibility and even in dynamic times you do not lose the overview as well as the willingness to participate in the on-call duty.
