Job Description

About Us

GKN Automotive is the market leader in conventional, all-wheel, and electrified drive systems and solutions. With a comprehensive global footprint, we design, develop, manufacture, and integrate an extensive range of driveline technologies for over 90% of the world's car manufacturers.


Role Purpose

Effectively lead technical support of GKN Core Process, ensuring GKN standards compliance and best practice deployment. Lead internal audits and KPI improvements by developing, monitoring, and reporting fixed action plans. Support the Technology and Manufacturing Development Manager (TMDM) in standards creation/updating and local skills development. Attend regional or global meetings (overseas) occasionally.


Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain production processes, including control plans, FMEA, and process documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Develop new processes and prototypes to improve production efficiency.
  • Implement and launch new production lines or transfers.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives within manufacturing operations.
  • Manage tool and equipment lifecycle to optimize performance and durability.
  • Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) for accurate design interpretation.
Requirements & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of simulation software (AutoCAD, Creo).
  • Experience with mechanical and numerical control systems.
  • Experience with floor processes and process documentation.
Skills
  • Teamwork – Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Leadership – Capacity to lead and coordinate process improvements.
  • Numerical Control Handling – Programming and operating CNC equipment.
  • Software Skills – Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Core Tools – Knowledge of APQP and ISO standards.
