About the Role

As an Area Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our footprint within the defence industry, focusing on high-quality steel products engineered for military and security applications. You will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and ensuring that our solutions align with the stringent demands of the defence sector.

This role requires strategic thinking, technical knowledge, and excellent relationship-building skills to successfully engage with defence contractors, government agencies, and key industry players.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy & Business Development – Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive growth and expand market share within the Defence sector.
  • Key Account Management – Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with Defence contractors, government bodies, and key decision-makers.
  • Market Expansion – Identify new business opportunities and develop tailored solutions to meet client needs.
  • Collaboration & Compliance – Work closely with internal teams (production and quality assurance) to ensure product compliance with Defence industry standards.
  • Industry Expertise – Stay ahead of market trends, regulations, and technological advancements in Defence-grade steel to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Contract Negotiation – Lead negotiations and contract discussions, ensuring profitable and long-term partnerships.
  • Project Management – Oversee the entire sales cycle, from initial engagement to contract execution and after-sales support, working closely with the internal special sales team.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales or business development professional with a strong background in the steel industry and a solid understanding of the defence sector. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to navigate complex procurement processes, negotiate high-value contracts, and drive sustainable growth in a competitive market. Strong relationship management and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to develop tailored solutions that meet the specific requirements of defence clients. A technical understanding of steel products, alloys, and specialized manufacturing processes is an advantage, along with the flexibility to travel as needed.
