Formación

  • Full fluency in Spanish; fluency in English is an advantage.
  • Minimum 7 years of commercial experience, including 1-2 years in a managerial role.

Our client, a leading European contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), is seeking a Commercial Director to drive business development and customer account management for its operations in Madrid.

The organisation provides comprehensive solutions from development to production and distribution.

Their services cover a broad range of pharmaceutical forms, with strong expertise in liquids, ointments, and creams.

Operating across multiple production sites and R&D centers, they serve international markets with a diverse portfolio.

Regular travel to Madrid is a requirement of 1-2 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect new customers within the Spanish market.
  • Lead a team of 2 client managers.
  • Develop and execute a business development strategy for CDMO services in Spain, in collaboration with the global commercial team.
  • Build and maintain long-term partnerships with clients, fostering trust and growth.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning, resource management, and overall efficiency of the business unit.
  • Lead the proposal process, ensuring timely submission of competitive offers.
  • Act as the lead negotiator for contracts and legal agreements, coordinating with internal stakeholders to secure approvals.
  • Oversee the transfer of new business opportunities, working closely with technical teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements

  • A degree in Business or an MBA (a technical background is a plus).
  • Full fluency in Spanish language is a must; fluency in English is an advantage.
  • A minimum of 7 years of commercial experience, with at least 1-2 years in a managerial role within a CDMO or B2B pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Experience in negotiations and proven sales record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to deliver engaging presentations.
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics.
