Java Technical Lead – iGaming Industry Location : Remote in Spain

Project Overview Join a rapidly growing technology company at the intersection of gaming, data, and innovation. We specialize in delivering high-performance platforms for the iGaming industry, covering everything from risk management and trading to user engagement and analytics. We’re looking for a Java Technical Lead who can guide a talented development team while owning the architecture and quality of critical back-end systems. Your Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Java developers in a collaborative Agile environment.
• Drive architecture and development of scalable, secure, and maintainable applications.
• Provide code-level guidance, conduct code reviews, and ensure best practices.
• Implement and optimize cloud-native services in a Kubernetes ecosystem.
• Work closely with product and QA teams to ensure technical excellence.
• Build and manage event-driven systems using Kafka, caching tools, and modern databases.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and advocate their adoption when beneficial.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of Java development experience with modern frameworks.
• Solid experience working in Kubernetes-based environments.
• Strong leadership and mentoring background.
• Proficiency in SQL and database design.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and distributed caching systems (e.g., Redis, Memcached).
• Prior iGaming industry experience is required.
• Familiarity with front-end (HTML, CSS, JS, Angular / React) is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams.
• At least B2 level of English.
