Job Purpose and Impact

The Laboratory Technician will perform moderately complex analytical and laboratory testing within veterinary diagnostics to support our Animal Nutrition business unit. Responsibilities include conducting routine analyses on animal-origin samples, monitoring instrumentation performance, conducting tests, and documenting results in databases.

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform routine sample preparation and laboratory tests on various animal-origin samples; support complex trials and experiments under supervision.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and food safety regulations.
  • Interpret and document test results in active databases.
  • Run calibration checks and perform preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment.
  • Help maintain a safety and quality-focused culture in the lab.
  • Handle administrative, technical, or customer support issues, escalating complex issues appropriately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a higher degree in Laboratory Techniques or equivalent in Science.
  • At least two years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • University degree in Science, preferably Veterinary or Biological Sciences.
  • Previous laboratory experience, ideally in Veterinary Diagnostics.
  • Ability to interpret safety and operational documents and write routine reports.
