We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Opera General Manager - Operations to join our team. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will oversee the operational aspects of our opera company, ensuring the successful delivery of productions, events, and educational programs.
Key Responsibilities :
Operational Management : Oversee the day-to-day operations of the opera company, including production planning, logistics, and facilities management.
Production Management : Collaborate with the Artistic Director and production teams to plan and deliver productions, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
Event Planning : Coordinate and execute events, such as galas, fundraisers, educational and cultural programs, to achieve revenue and attendance goals.
Team Management : Lead and manage a team of operations staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Budgeting and Financial Management : Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and financial sustainability.
Risk Management : Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration and Partnerships : Foster relationships with external partners, vendors, and stakeholders to advance the opera company's interests.
Requirements :
Education : Bachelor's degree in Arts Administration, Business, or a related field.
Experience : Minimum 15 years of experience in opera or performing arts management, with a focus on operations and production management.
