Job Description:

We are looking for an Azure Data Engineer to join an exciting project with a leading multinational client in the automotive sector. Enjoy the benefits of 100% remote work, flexible hours, and intensive Fridays to support your work-life balance.

1. Support the migration of on-premises data systems to Azure cloud.
2. Optimize data processing pipelines and queries for performance and cost-efficiency, utilizing techniques such as partitioning, indexing, and caching.
3. Monitor and tune the performance of Azure resources including DX clusters, ADF pipelines, and data storage.
4. Utilize Python and SQL for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis within Azure environments.
5. Implement and maintain version control for the codebase using Git and automate workflows with GitHub Actions.
6. Establish CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment, testing, and monitoring of data solutions in Azure cloud.
7. Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and promote collaboration through peer programming.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in cloud transformation projects, particularly with Azure cloud.
3. Strong understanding of data lakehouse architecture principles and hands-on experience with relevant technologies such as Databricks, Delta Lake, and ADLS.
4. Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
5. Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for orchestrating data workflows.
6. Familiarity with version control systems like Git and CI/CD practices.
7. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
