Mission and Responsibilities

We seek a senior professional currently working in retail credit, specializing in credit cards, including admissions and portfolio management. You will collaborate across functions, products, and regions to develop and monitor the portfolio, ensuring profitability and performance. Your role involves engaging in new initiatives, improving existing processes, and adapting to regulatory changes.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of retail credit card portfolios, including defining admission processes and making data-driven decisions to balance risk and profitability. You will lead initiatives for preventative and reactive actions to mitigate risks impacting credit performance and portfolio profitability.

Main Tasks
  • Manage credit card portfolio performance.
  • Define underwriting and enhancement policies aligned with portfolio and business needs.
  • Collaborate with Risk Modeling team to develop credit risk models for admission, fraud prevention, and limits management.
  • Manage risk appetite based on business cases.
  • Maintain policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Work with stakeholders on project development.
  • Optimize intake processes and portfolio performance through risk management.
  • Identify emerging risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with recovery teams for early intervention on deteriorating receivables.
Qualifications
  • Over 10 years of retail credit management experience, with at least 4 years managing credit card portfolios, understanding the full customer cycle and balance sheet implications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field (engineering, statistics, math, economics, management).
  • Knowledge of IFRS9 credit provisions.
  • Strong analytical skills in profitability and risk KPIs, and data modeling (cost of credit, VMG, NPL, PD/LGD).
  • Experience in the European credit market.
  • Understanding of credit scoring and behavioral scoring models for credit cards.
  • Proficiency with visualization tools (e.g., Quicksight, Power BI) and programming (SQL, Python, Apache Spark).
  • Fluent in English and willing to work in an international environment.
