As Financial Accountant, working closely with the Finance Manager and the Senior Financial Accountant in charge, you will prepare annual financial statements of Spanish and non-Spanish entities (Luxembourg).

The role requires daily interaction with the local Manager, the Senior Accountant and the teams based in Luxembourg and London.

What you will do :

1. Gather financial data from the accounting system and any other tool where disclosure information would be needed from;
2. Be in charge of preparing a set of accounts for Luxembourg and Spanish entities at this stage - other jurisdictions may follow subsequently;
3. Prepare accurate statements (balance sheet, income statement, statement of equity, ...) and disclosure notes in compliance with legal regulations;
4. Liaise with relevant teams, where required, to obtain the necessary information for the explanatory notes;
5. Ensure timely preparation of those accounts for appropriate filing;
6. Coordinate the full process from extraction of the Trial Balances and General Ledger to the filing of the financial statements;
7. Share those accounts with the relevant parties once finalised (Tax, Legal & Compliance and Debt reporting teams...);
8. Check diligent application of Mileway's defined accounting policies and relevant GAAP principles;

What you will bring :

1. Minimum 2-3 years of experience within an accounting or finance function;
2. Relevant education in Finance;
3. Fluent in English; Any other language will be an asset;
4. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
5. Rigorous with a great sense of organization;
6. Critical thinking, continual learning and effective time management skills;
7. Good understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles;
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other teams;
9. Hands-on experience with MS Office;
